这是一部看在很多年前的电影，偶然的机会买到了一张VCD，Jim Carrey站在厚重的红色帷幕前面，笑容如木偶般凝固。光线在他脸上聚成光环，我知道这是一个人的传记，一个曾经活跃在舞台上的传奇。
Andy Kaufman，一档称为Saturday Night Live节目的主持人。电影中，Jim Carrey纯熟的演技复活了这个舞台上的怪异天才。他的高傲、自负，目中无人，一次次在节目中出言嘲讽观众，然后又在玩过火的时候自我诋毁，取悦观众。他在舞台的镁光灯下迷失了自己，那厚重的帷幕把他的世界包围起来，他成为了月亮上的男人。孤单寂寞。唯有表演……
天才和疯子的界限短的无法丈量。交汇处是如此紧密，以至于大家忽略了他也是个普通人。他病了，陷入了绝症。时日无多，终于向观众做了坦白。但换来的却是一如既往的笑声，Andy忽然意识到，自己是个脱口秀主持，大家已经习惯把他的言语当做玩笑。于是他选择了沉默，直到死亡。
在结尾处，才明白，Jim Carrey为什么能如此投入的演戏。原本的喜剧，看到结尾，才悲从中来。嬉笑怒骂、乐极生悲。万事尽然，言不可极，极之而衰。
